Role Overview

As Senior Marketing Manager, you will lead TGC’s B2C customer acquisition, retention, and brand visibility efforts. Your goal is to attract and convert clients, expand our reach, and optimize performance across organic, paid, and partnership-driven channels.

You will own marketing funnels, paid acquisition, SEO, performance tracking, content, and audience growth, ensuring all efforts are aligned with TGC’s business goals.

Responsibilities

Top 3 Priorities for this role:

  1. Increase top of funnel lead generation to meet TGC’s quarterly targets
  2. Ensure high conversion rate from leads to program participants, including upselling of TGC’s offers to graduates to increase the lifetime value (LTV)
  3. Own the development and execution of all marketing content needed to deliver on above two priorities

Growth & Performance Marketing

  • Develop and optimize marketing funnels that drive lead generation, engagement, and client conversions.
  • Lead and scale TGC’s digital presence by growing our social media following (Instagram, LinkedIn) through organic and paid strategies.
  • Support development and execution of IRL marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Own and manage organic and paid campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, media sponsorships), ensuring cost-effective Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and high ROI.
  • Implement A/B testing strategies across ads, landing pages, email campaigns, and website touchpoints.
  • Work with SEO contractors to optimize TGC’s website, ensuring high organic search visibility and inbound traffic.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance marketing metrics (conversion rates, Cost Per Acquisition, Life Time Value, retention) to inform marketing decisions.

Content & Community Engagement

  • Own and execute on TGC’s content strategy across social media and newsletters, focusing on lead generation and engagement.
  • Develop high-quality, impactful content that educates, informs, and inspires our audience,
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring and scheduling tools (i.e. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.).
  • Oversee social engagement efforts (community interaction, influencer partnerships, event recaps, and case studies).
  • Develop evergreen resources (guides, reports) independently or with partners, positioning TGC as an industry leader.
  • Create and manage a content calendar, ensuring consistent publishing and alignment with broader marketing goals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive and accessible marketing content across all platforms.

People Management

  • Manage and support contract staff for the roles of copywriter, graphic designer, web designer, and others as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, program delivery, and product development teams to align marketing with business objectives.
  • Optimize marketing workflows and tools, ensuring the team’s efficiency in execution and tracking.
  • Participate in TGC team meetings, related projects, and strategy sessions as required.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years in growth, digital marketing, or performance marketing (experience in a startup or high-growth company is a plus).
  • Proven experience managing paid ads (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and optimizing conversion funnels.
  • Strong analytical skills – you can interpret marketing data, track KPIs, and improve performance.
  • Experience with SEO, content marketing, and lead-generation tactics.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing and automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, or similar).
  • Experience growing and engaging online communities through organic and paid strategies.
  • A deep understanding of social media marketing, influencer marketing, and brand-building.
  • Familiarity with anti-racism, gendered barriers to workfinding, accessibility, disability, or professional learning and development sectors is a strong plus

Work area:

  • Remote work from home position, anywhere in Canada
  • Work is computer based and may include lots of sitting

Org Structure:

  • This position reports to the CEO of TGC
  • The position coordinates the work of several contractors (copywriter, graphic designer, marketing operations support, web developer, etc)

Compensation & Contract details:

  • Full time, remote (40 hours a week)
  • $82,000 - $92,000 salary, plus a $2,000 benefits reimbursement allotment
  • Ideal start date of June 1, 2025
  • One year contract position, ending May 31, 2026, with possibility of extension based on funding

Our hiring process:

  • Follow-up interviews will be scheduled for 2-3 top candidates, these are usually one hour long and have 2-3 TGC team members present.
  • We provide a $50 honorarium for candidates who participate in the one hour interview.
  • We will follow up with all candidates to notify them when a hiring decision has been made.
