Role Overview
As Programs Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the successful delivery of TGC’s flagship programs including Catalyst, Coaching, and our online learning community. Most of TGC's programs are run remotely using virtual tools (Zoom, Slack, Absorb LMS, etc) and participants are located across Canada. Some of the programs are delivered on weekends 4-6 times a year to make them accessible for women+ juggling work and caregiving responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Top 3 Priorities for this role:
- Oversight and coordination to ensure an excellent program experience for internal and external stakeholders and participants
- Proactive and analytical approach to program data, tracking, reporting, and budgeting
- Ensure solid coordination between programs and product, marketing, and partnerships
Program Coordination and Logistics
- Oversee all aspects of TGC’s programs including: scheduling workshops and coaching sessions, participant registration, responding to participant inquiries, workshop logistics (zoom links, calendar invitations, reminders etc), preparing workshop resources and program evaluations
- Oversee the program participant recruitment pathways, working with other project staff to ensure we are reaching the right participants
- Respond to program inquiries and referrals from agency partners
- Oversee the new Catalyst Community Slack channel for TGC program graduates
- Ensure all program activities meet TGC’s standards of delivery as well as funder deliverables
- Ensure all program materials are culturally affirming and culturally relevant, reflecting the diverse community of learners who access our programs.
- Apply a lens of equity and anti-racism to the analysis & updating of program materials and program structure
People Management
- Oversee program staff and contractors in the effective delivery of program activities, ensuring adequate coverage for program delivery throughout the year
- Support the development of effective program partnerships, alongside other project staff
Metrics, Budgeting, and Reporting
- Manage annual program budgets
- Oversee tracking of program related metrics and data used for reporting to funders and TGC Board; support with the input of program data in TGC tracking sheets and funder reporting systems
- Participate in TGC team meetings, related projects, and strategy sessions as required

- Comfortable adapting on the fly – You thrive in scrappy start-up environments and are able to help your team problem-solve quickly
- Organized and detail-oriented – You can juggle multiple projects from end to end
- A critical and strategic thinker – You understand how systemic inequity shapes a learner’s experience in a program and this informs your program design and decisions
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience overseeing educational or training programs in a community setting, including supervising staff or contractors in program delivery
- Experience working in programs geared towards career development and advancement
- Experience with project management and comfortable overseeing many moving pieces at a time
- Experience managing program budgets and tracking expenditures
- Experience supporting developing and updating program curriculums so that they align with learning objectives
- Demonstrated experience with the principles of anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity and justice in educational programs
- Proficiency working in online environments, facilitating learning in virtual settings, and working with online learning tools and teams
- Familiarity and comfort working with Google Workspace (ie. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Shared drives) and other software systems (Asana, Hubspot, Absorb LMS) an asset
Work area:
- Remote work from home position, anywhere in Canada
- Work is computer based and may include lots of sitting
Org Structure:
- This position reports to the CEO of TGC
- The position coordinates the work of several contractors (Program Delivery Facilitators, Community Manager, Career Coaches)
Compensation & Contract details:
- Full time, remote (40 hours a week)
- $72,000 - $82,000 salary, plus a $2,000 benefits reimbursement allotment
- Ideal start date of June 1, 2025
- One year contract position, ending May 31, 2026, with possibility of extension based on funding

Our hiring process:

- We provide a $50 honorarium for candidates who participate in the one hour interview.
