Position: Manager, Advertising and Promotions
Organization: Ducks Unlimited Canada
Location: Remote/hybrid in Canada

Position Details: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: Starting salary will be $97,600, based on a 35-hour work week. Salary for this position will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s education and/or experience as it relates to the position.

What You Will Do

The Manager of Advertising & Promotions oversees the development and execution of strategic advertising campaigns. They are a strong leader with a creative mind that builds strong partnerships with media platforms and like-minded brands. This role will leverage internal capabilities and external partnerships, this role aims to grow engagement through a variety of tactics including education and awareness campaigns, contests, and promotions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding organizational priorities and ensuring that the advertising and promotions budget is used in the most optimal and effective way to achieve objectives.
  • Leading the development of effective messages and promotional strategies for revenue-driving areas of the business including fundraising, planned-giving, and fee for service.
  • Developing and managing media and brand content partnerships and promotions to expand awareness and relevance of the organization and its work.
  • Ensuring that the advertising and promotions team as well as regional communications specialists have the necessary training, tools and support to be successful in their roles.
  • Developing proactive strategies to grow and engage audiences across social media and other platforms including the use of user generated content, polls, surveys, contests, influencers and brand ambassadors.
  • Staying up to date with the best practices for lead generation and the latest tools and strategies for advertising and digital marketing.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing strategy and execution with proven management skills leading and developing a team.
  • Post secondary education in Marketing or Communications is considered an asset.
  • Analytical with strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Commercially minded, highly analytical individual with experience overseeing cross-platform campaigns.
  • Comfortable leading projects and campaigns in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Experience developing and managing a departmental budget to support organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Creative, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
