Job Title: Water Governance Research Associate
Organization: Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources
Location: remote, anywhere in Canada
Summary
The Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER) is seeking to hire a Water Governance Research Associate.
The successful candidate will be keen to join our team to support CIER’s Collaborative Leadership Initiative (CLI) project. The Water Governance Research Associate will work to support the CLI team by handling administrative responsibilities and providing research assistance, such as drafting reports, summarizing documents, and preparing meeting materials. The role of Water Governance Associate is best suited for an individual that can work closely and collaboratively in a team setting, but is also a motivated self-starter in accomplishing project work. We love people with ideas and the willingness and commitment to try to solve problems. Although the bulk of your work will be related to advancing shared water governance through the Collaborative Leadership Initiative, you may be required to support other CIER projects as well. As an organization, we support and work towards reconciliation with Indigenous Nations and non-Indigenous allies. We are a team of like-minded individuals who strive to build environmental capacity in and with Indigenous community partners. This position may include travelling to remote communities.
