Position: Construction Skills Trainer

About Keepers of the Circle
Keepers of the Circle is an Indigenous Hub operated by the Temiskaming Native Women’s Support Group (TNWSG), a non-profit organization founded in 1997 to promote the economic, cultural, and social equity of Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse peoples.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Skills Trainer to collaborate across multiple programs to lead curriculum development and hands-on delivery of green construction training programs for Indigenous participants. Training sessions may take place in Kirkland Lake, New Liskeard, on-reserve with Indigenous communities across Northern Ontario and, eventually in other provinces and territories across Canada. As a Construction Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training that builds foundational construction skills for residential projects, including both new builds and retrofits. The training will emphasize green construction practices that promote energy efficiency, sustainability, and healthy living environments.

KOTC values the local community, and preference will be given to recruiting a local candidate who can be on-site at our Kirkland Lake location and has a good understanding of the Northern landscape. Employees living in other parts of Ontario may be considered.
