Position: Maintenance Team Lead - Algonquin Park

Camp Tanamakoon, a respected all-girls overnight summer camp with over 100 years of tradition, is hiring a Maintenance Staff Lead for a 4-month contract beginning in July 2025.

This is a unique, live-in opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, a love of the outdoors, and an interest in leading a small team in maintaining our beautiful lakeside facility in the heart of Algonquin Park.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time, seasonal leadership role (July–October)
• Live on-site with accommodation and all meals provided
• Competitive wage starting at $18/hour, based on experience
• Boat operation, site maintenance, equipment support, minor repairs
• Work both independently and in collaboration with a dedicated seasonal crew
• Access to camp amenities during personal time

Ideal Candidate:

• Age 30+, mature and reliable with a passion for hands-on work
• Previous experience with basic carpentry, small engines, landscaping, or general maintenance is a plus
• Interested in taking on a leadership and mentorship role within a team
• Comfortable living in a remote natural setting
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive boats (training available)
