Location: Hybrid including 2-3 days per week on-site in North Vancouver and West Vancouver, BC

The Organization: NSRJ is a registered charity that has been responding to harm, conflict, and crime on the North Shore since 1997. Using principles of restorative justice (RJ), NSRJ works to strengthen our communities by providing case facilitation, circle processes, community dialogue, youth engagement programs, and training. NSRJ is one of the largest community-based RJ organization in British Columbia. Current programs include: the Restorative Response Program (RRP) which provides RJ facilitation as an alternative to the criminal court process, Circles in Schools which provides weekly whole classroom facilitation with elementary and secondary students as well as training to teachers, the Restorative Engagement in Schools program which provides RJ facilitation in response to complex instances of harm in schools, and professional development workshops offered to schools and organizations.

Our Mission: To build capacity and connectivity with the North Shore community to prevent and respond to conflict and harm. We will do this through values-based processes that engage elders, adults, and youth.

The Role: We are seeking an Executive Director to join our team within a strong value-based organization. The ideal candidate will bring previous experience from an executive role, exemplifying a proven ability to align and lead teams from a place of inspiration, collaboration, inclusion, and empowerment along with strong business acumen. This position requires a high level of team collaboration and transparency, and also requires significant autonomy and ability to move forward effectively on decisions.
The ED will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations and for developing a growth model to ensure staff retention, financial sustainability, governance excellence, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, human resources and governance experience as well as excellent strategic thinking skills.
