Position: Community Food and Greenhouse Coordinator

Start date: June 23rd – March 31st, 2026 with potential for extension
Position status: Full-time (32 hours/week, 4-day work week, Mon-Thurs).
Location: Prince Rupert, BC (The Coordinator will work onsite between the main community greenhouse and in our office).
Compensation: Hourly rate: $32-36/hour. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Greenhouse Coordinator will join Ecotrust Canada’s Food Systems Program, which is based on Coast Ts’msyen territories in Prince Rupert, BC. Our team works towards creating collaborative, vibrant, and innovative local food economies built by and for communities, supported by local and regional food production and marketplaces that are resilient and sustainable.
Position Summary
Ecotrust Canada is seeking a passionate and community-oriented Greenhouse Coordinator. Working under the supervision of the Community Food Systems Innovation Program Manager, the Coordinator will lead school- and community-based food growing and programming efforts, with a special focus on building relationships with Indigenous communities and coordinating culturally relevant garden programming.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on growing experience, strong organizational and outreach skills, and a commitment to food sovereignty, sustainability, and Indigenous collaboration.
