Environmentalist in Residence

Contract: Environmentalist in Residence (EnvIR) (2 positions)
Program: EnvIR Programme / Our Fragile Planet (OFP)
Organization: Toronto Public Library (TPL)
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Toronto Public Library (TPL) is currently looking for two Environmentalists in Residence (EnvIR) as part of the environmental program series Our Fragile Planet (OFP):

• Fall 2025: October 6 to November 29, 2025 (8 weeks), Brentwood Branch
• Spring 2026: April 6 to May 30, 2026 (8 weeks), Malvern Branch

The two EnvIRs will support OFP programs and will serve as industry experts in the area of environmental conservation, sustainability, or climate activism by leading engaging programs, hands-on workshops, and offering community consultations.

TPL’s OFP program series and this residency are generously supported by Friends of Toronto Public Library, South Chapter.

Deadline to apply is Monday, August 11th, 2025, at 4:00 pm ET.  The deadline for the submission of questions related to the posting is 4:00 pm ET on Monday, August 4th, 2025.
