Role: Belcarra Beachkeeper
Organization: Metro Vancouver Regional Parks
Location: Belcarra, near Coquitlam, Metro Vancouver BC

Learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in data collection, public education and marine stewardship.

The Belcarra Beachkeepers promote awareness, conservation and stewardship of the marine ecosystem at təmtəmíxʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park and in the community. Volunteers work together to conduct a scientific study on the local crab population and educate park visitors to promote preservation and conservation of marine ecosystems.

Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 6 weekend shifts (approximately 30 hours) throughout the summer, from the last weekend in June to Labour Day. A mandatory training day will take place on Saturday, June 22nd.
