Role: Project Development Team Lead

Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada (BECC) is looking for passionate volunteers to help turn ideas into impactful environmental and community projects.

About BECC

BECC is a national charity that supports development of Biosphere Eco-Cities (BECs) in Ottawa, Toronto, Brampton, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

What you’ll do:

Leadership
* Lead the end-to-end design and development of projects
* Guide and mentor team members in research, idea generation, and proposal writing
* Receive project ideas from other BEC teams
* Lead team to turn project concepts into full project proposals
* Work closely with the finance team to develop and review project budgets
* Ensure proposals meet requirements and organizational standards of potential funders

Stakeholder Coordination
* Liaise with other BEC teams and partners on project development

Administrative; Reporting Responsibilities
* Oversee documentation, proposal tracking, and submission timelines
* Prepare and present progress updates to BECC board
* Ensure administrative compliance and quality control across all project development activities
* Plan and coordinate monthly team meeting

Strategic Planning
* Identify new funding opportunities and align project ideas with organizational priorities
* Strategize potential follow-up projects

* Experience in project planning or development
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Enthusiasm for sustainability, innovation and community impact
