North Vancouver BC

Positions: Board Member (various roles)
Type: volunteer / unpaid
Organization: North Vancouver Federal Green Party EDA
Location: North Vancouver BC (must be able to attend regular in-person meetings)

We're looking to rebuild our local Federal Green Party so that we can elect a progressive candidate who's willing to stand up for our amazing biodiversity, climate and people.

We're looking to build a real, in person grassroots movement — we need volunteers who're willing to commit time and effort to help make this vision become a reality.

The Vision

  • Monthly meetings where members can meet to discuss policy, learn about issues and decide what our candidate should stand for
  • Building community. Fighting for the environment and social justice issues can feel like a hard and lonely path. We want to build an active community where people can make a difference and connect
  • Play to win. We're here to win elections and get the right people in power. That means we start organizing our policies, campaign plans and community outreach long before elections.

The Process

Our EDA (Electoral District Association) needs a number of new board members to help drive this project forward. Official elections won't take place until our next AGM in early 2026, but if you're interested then we recommend you get invovled well before then. We advise coming to our next social meeting on November 18th to meet existing members and discuss how you can get involved. The current organizer (Stephen Beard) is also happy to have calls with interested individuals before hand.
