Urban farming, Local food

Hiring: Farm Manager
Farm: The Brackyard Farm
Location: Squamish / Brackendale BC

About Us

The Brackyard Farm is a brand-new, community-focused farm located in beautiful Brackendale, BC, on the north side of Squamish.

Entering our second full growing season in 2026, our mission is to strengthen hyper-local vegetable production and support the Squamish community with sustainably grown produce. Everything we grow is right here — no trucks, no long journeys — just fresh, seasonal produce cultivated steps from our farm stand which is our main sales channel along with supplying to local restaurants.

Our main site is a 1-acre intensive urban farm in Brackendale. In 2026, we will continue optimizing production at this location while beginning our expansion into Paradise Valley. We are building efficient, regenerative systems and are seeking a capable, motivated Farm Manager who wants to grow with us. All work is done using hand tools and we follow no dig, regenerative and organic practices.

Brackyard Farm is the brainchild of Robbie — a carpenter by trade and a backyard farmer by passion. With a knack for building, growing, and getting things done, Robbie has turned this one-acre patch in Brackendale into a thriving, hands-on haven for fresh produce and local connection. He lives on site with his wife and their loyal dog Jasper, who keeps a close eye on visitors and an even closer one on the veggie beds and chicken coop. A few good friends often pitch in, making Brackyard a laid-back, collaborative space that’s rooted in the land and the community.
