  • Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000
  • Bonus: Eligible for an annual performance-based bonus
  • On-site Requirement: Minimum 4 days per week in the FRPO office
  • Status: This is a new role supporting the expansion of the CRB Program

Since 1985, the Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) has been the leading advocate for Ontario’s multi-family rental housing industry. About the CRB Program

The Canadian Certified Rental Building™ (CRB) Program is Canada’s national quality-assurance and certification program for the multi-residential rental housing sector.

Established in 2008 and administered by the Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO), the program provides third-party verification that rental properties are professionally managed, well-run, well-maintained, and meet defined operational, environmental, and resident service standards. The program operates across Canada and is recognized by GRESB as an approved building certification partner.

About the Role

This is a full-time role, requiring a minimum of four days per week in-office, based in Toronto, Canada. The Program Coordinator, Certification will oversee certification programs, drive initiatives, and ensure compliance with established standards. Key responsibilities include developing programs, monitoring and evaluating progress, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders, and providing excellent support to program participants. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure program success and contribute to ongoing improvements. This newly created position supports the operations, communications, and national expansion of the CRB Program. It is ideal for someone with strong coordination skills and a keen interest in sustainability, real estate, or building operations.

Candidates may come from:

  • a sustainability or real estate background with strong administrative, analytical, or coordination experience, or
  • a communications or administrative background with a strong interest in ESG, sustainability, or housing quality standards.

Training will be provided on rental regulations, building standards, GRESB alignment, and the CRB certification framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Audit Coordination & Program Operations

  • Coordinate audit scheduling with member companies and third-party auditors.
  • Track audit progress, follow-ups, deficiency logs, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized program files in SharePoint and the CRM system.
  • Support certification intake, annual renewals, and onboarding of buildings.
  • Handle confidential member and audit information with professionalism and discretion.

2. Member Communications & Support

  • Serve as a primary contact for member inquiries on certification steps and standards.
  • Draft clear, professional communications, updates, and reminders.
  • Support onboarding of new members and guide property teams through program requirements.

3. Marketing & Program Visibility Support

  • Assist with light marketing tasks such as drafting content, supporting social media, and preparing updates.
  • Maintain and update program resources, guides, templates, and member-facing materials.
  • Support development of materials that highlight program benefits and expand national visibility.
  • Create simple visual materials using Canva or PowerPoint (asset).

4. Event & Webinar Coordination

  • Support CRB events, webinars, training sessions, and conference activities.
  • Coordinate logistics, registration, materials, scheduling, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist with slide deck preparation and content organization.
  • Occasional travel within Canada may be required (a few times per year).

5. Website & Member Portal Updates

  • Update website listings, resources, announcements, and program materials.
  • Navigate the backend to upload files and make simple content updates - no web development experience required; training provided.
  • Coordinate with web vendors when adjustments or fixes are needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all digital content.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in sustainability, environmental studies, public policy, real estate, communications, business administration, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in program coordination or relevant administrative/operational support roles.
  • Background or strong interest in sustainability, ESG, or environmental performance (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort navigating digital platforms and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Experience with CRM systems, SharePoint, or website content management systems is an asset.
  • Experience with GRESB or ESG reporting frameworks is a strong asset.
  • LEED AP, LEED Green Associate, Fitwel Ambassador, or other sustainability credentials are strong assets.
  • French language skills are an asset but not required.
