Position: Educational Assistant
Type: age 30 & under / summer
Organization: Reimagine Agriculture
Location: Remote, Occasional Events in Southern Ontario

Job Description:

The Educational Assistant will collaborate to create engaging and evidence-based educational content on the food system, including the challenges of, and opportunities to improve, the food system for environmental and social wellbeing.

This role will involve research, support across all stages of content production, and support strategic planning of the wider Reimagine Agriculture team. The position is mostly remote with occasional in person events in Southern Ontario.

Duration: 8 weeks, Beginning May 18, 2026
Wage: $18.00/hour
Hours per Week: 35

About Reimagine Agriculture:

Reimagine Agriculture is a Canadian charity that strives to create a compassionate, sustainable and resilient food system through our building alliances, knowledge mobilization and public policy dialogue. Focusing on key issues such as reducing conventional animal agriculture and food waste and loss, we envision a food system that meets the needs of current and future generations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the ideation, creation, editing and production of static, video and written communications
  • Ensures evidence-based content through careful research and citation
  • Collaborate with relevant board members, staff and volunteers across the organization, particularly within the Knowledge Mobilization and Marketing teams

What we are looking for in you:

**As this position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs, candidates must be between the ages of 15-30, be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred and have a valid SIN**

  • Strong working knowledge of agricultural-food system issues, including conventional animal agriculture and food waste
  • Strong writing, copyediting and proofreading skills
    • Some experience writing fact-based, educational material is an asset

  • Some experience with graphic design and social media communications is an asset
  • Positive attitude and growth mindset
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Well-organized
  • Personable team player with strong ability to communicate in writing and orally
