  • The Annual Teddy Bear Picnic, a free and beloved community event that is attended by approximately 500 people, especially young children and parents
  • Camp Spirit, a United Church of Canada summer day-camp for kids
  • Block parties for the community

The SEC may also work with staff and volunteers to develop and lead additional events or programs throughout the summer for the community, especially for youth and families, such as workshops, art projects, concerts and kids' programs. The SEC will also be responsible for some of the background work that makes these events possible, such as taking inventory of the church and other organizational tasks. Provide occasional vacation relief and administrative support, time permitting.
