About Fruitful Fields

Fruitful Fields is a small-scale regenerative vegetable farm in North Saanich, growing diverse, high-quality vegetables using ecological practices focused on soil health, biodiversity, and sustainability. Using only certified organic amendments and zero synthetic sprays, pesticides, or herbicides, we build healthy soil, support biodiversity, and create resilient harvests. Our diverse mix of over 50 different types of fruits and vegetables goes straight to local residents, restaurants, cafés, community food boxes, and two vibrant farmers’ markets (North Saanich and James Bay).

Led by Farmer Brooke, our mission is simple yet powerful: strengthen local food systems through hands-on growing, education, and community connection. We’re not just growing food — we’re training the next generation of small-scale farmers. As our website says: “Through hands-on growing, education, and community partnerships, I am dedicated to strengthening local food systems and creating resilient, accessible food for all.”

This is the perfect seasonal role if you want real-world experience running a small vegetable farm — from seed to sale — while working under the sun in a supportive, joyful environment. Many team members leave with the skills and confidence to start their own growing projects or pursue agriculture careers.

Location:

The farm is located at 1810 Glamorgan Rd. North Saanich B.C. at the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture. Sandown hosts ~10 different farm businesses making it a community gathering space for farmers to share resources and access land/ educational opportunities. The property is full of new and emerging farmers, making it an ideal inclusive space to grow and learn more about agriculture.

  • Supporting biodiversity across 50+ varieties of vegetables and fruits
