Title: Land Activities Director
Camp: Camp Kawartha 

Location: Peterborough Area, Ontario.
Housing: Ability to live onsite at Camp Kawartha for the entirety of the summer

About us:

For over 100 years, this award-winning camp, outdoor education, and environment centre has inspired environmental stewardship and sustainability through immersive outdoor and environmental education programs for children, youth, and the broader community. We are excited to be developing and expanding our in-house finance team. If completing bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivables, and working with Excel spreadsheets is your ideal job, keep reading!

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs, supervises and delivers the day-to-day operation of Ropes and Initiatives program.
• Ensures that all safety protocols for challenge activities are adhered to
• Monitors and Maintains all ropes activity areas, equipment and inventory

• Designs and supervises team building programs for Sr. cabins Assists or delegates challenge opportunities during interest choices
• Monitors selected staff members to operate challenge equipment safely and within CK guidelines
• Oversees specialist staff and serves as a role model and mentor to younger team members, supporting their growth, confidence, and professionalism.
• Takes on additional Sr. staff responsibilities as required

Requirements:

• CUI Level 2 Certification OR 200+ hours of Ropes Course facilitation experience and willingness to obtain CUI Level 2 Certification offered by Camp Kawartha.
• Standard First Aid and CPR
• Ability to live onsite at Camp Kawartha for the entirety of the summer
• Work Period: June - September 2026
