Organizational Overview

Inclusive Prosperity is a national, African Canadian-led not-for-profit organization working to eliminate systemic barriers in agriculture and food entrepreneurship for racialized equity-deserving communities. We aim to advance food justice, land ownership, and community-led food systems across Canada through our two funds: the African Canadian Farmers Fund and the Nourish Fund, designed respectively to provide people of African descent with capital for farmland acquisition and loans to urban food and farm entrepreneurs. Our national mandate focuses on inclusive community engagement, equitable access to capital, and building sustainable, community-owned food systems from coast to coast.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and community-rooted Strategic Operations & Program Coordinator to support our Executive Director and coordinate program and engagement activities across Canada. This hybrid role is essential to delivering Inclusive Prosperity’s mission—balancing executive support, program logistics, and stakeholder engagement with professionalism, care, and a commitment to equity.

This position is designated for a racialized person as part of our commitment to building a team that reflects the communities we serve.

Role Responsibilities

Executive Operations

  • Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel.
  • Draft, edit, and manage reports, presentations, memos, and internal correspondence.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Support executive-level fundraising, board relations, and event logistics.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items for internal team meetings, Executive Director engagements, and Board of Directors sessions.

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and tracking of Inclusive Prosperity’s programs and engagement strategies.
  • Liaise with community partners, consultants, and contractors to support deliverables and timelines.
  • Support the collection, organization, and analysis of program data and documentation for internal and external reporting.
  • Schedule and coordinate program-related meetings, webinars, consultations, and public events.
  • Maintain organized program records and calendars.
  • Assist in developing program materials and communications in English and French (as applicable).

Who You Are

  • You identify as a racialized person and bring lived experience that informs your approach to equity, community work, and relationship-building.
  • You have experience as an Executive Assistant and/or Program Coordinator, ideally within nonprofit, community investment, or food systems sectors.
  • You are fluent in English and French (written and verbal).
  • You bring strong administrative, coordination, and time-management skills.
  • You are proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft 365, Monday.com, virtual meeting platforms, and other collaboration tools.
  • You work well independently and in collaborative team environments.

Your Strengths

  • Discretion, professionalism, and tact in handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural humility when working with diverse communities.
  • Attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational systems.
  • Initiative and adaptability in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • A deep commitment to food justice, economic inclusion, and community-driven solutions.
