Summary of Position

As a member of the Wildcoast Adventures team, you are one of the primary contacts for our guests. This position requires someone who can engage with our guests, with enthusiasm, while ensuring the smooth operations of our multi-day adventures. This position provides support to the Guest Service team, as well as the Operations team. This position works primarily on Quadra Island at the Wildcoast shop, but there may be opportunity to work at a second location at Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours in Campbell River.

Job Type: Seasonal, Part time, Full time, In-person

Compensation: $20.50 per hour

Required Qualifications:

• Proficient in English
• Valid Class 5 drivers license (class 4 preferred)
• Organization skills
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Great communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to drive and back up with a kayak trailer
• Ability to lift, carry, and position kayaks, gear, and supplies
• A love for the outdoors and a passion for sustainability!

Principle Duties:

• Opening or closing the shop
• Communicating and following up with guests through email, phone and in person
• Checking in guests and helping them prepare for departure
• Retail Sales
• Cleaning gear
• Trip laundry
• Cleaning shop and outdoor space
• Packing trip food and gear
• Maintaining inventory of food and supplies and assisting in ordering
• Taking bookings
• General administrative tasks
