We are a small certified organic mixed veggie farm located in beautiful qathet, BC

Qualifications

• A passion for farming, food, food systems and environmental stewardship
• Hard-working and efficient while retaining attention to detail with high standards of quality in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to work outdoors all day in conditions ranging from cold & wet to hot & dry demonstrating high levels of self-care
• Physical fitness allowing for day after day of farm tasks including, but not limited too; bending, lifting, walking, caring, standing, etc.
• Enjoy working independently and as part of a small team
• Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback
• Strive for open communication, punctuality, accountability, and assuming positive intent in others

Responsibilties of Farm Team members

• Harvest, wash and pack vegetables (this is most of the work from June through September)
• Seed, transplant, weed, prune, trellis, irrigate and monitor a wide range of crops
• Maintain clean and functional workplaces and equipment
• Other less frequent responsibilities include: bed preparation, interacting with customers, vending at the farmers market, assisting with farm infrastructure building and maintenance (high tunnels etc), delivering vegetables, and other needs as they arise

Further Details:

• This is a full time position – 40 hrs/week at $20/hr.
• On farm accommodation is available.
• Eat the wonderful organic produce we grow!
• We invite team members to take a 1 week vacation during the season to enjoy and explore this amazing area (or whatever you choose…!) Work schedules will be coordinated to make this happen if desired.
