We are looking for two new members to our 5 person team!
Position: Organic Market Farmer (full-season)
Farm: Sundance Harvest
Location: Mount Forest, Ontario
Housing: We offer on-farm housing at a below-market rate: $500/month

Sundance Harvest is a certified Ontario Living Wage employer with a 2 acre market garden that grows a diverse array of cut-flowers, melons and vegetables using organic practices. In 2026 we are expanding our flower operation up to 1/2 acre of flowers with about half of that being perennial cut flowers. If you are interested in cut-flower production, this could be a great chance to see one start up. We have two heated greenhouses, six caterpillar tunnels and a backyard greenhouse. We sell at two busy Toronto Markets, through our CSA (produce box) and wholesale in the city of Toronto.
We also have two farm locations as a farm business. One which is the main 2 acre production farm in Mount Forest and another which is more of a smaller demonstration market garden in collaboration with the land access focused non-profit Sundance Commons at Woodbine Racetrack in Rexdale. This site is managed by Chelsea, who is heading into their 3rd season with us. We are excited to continue to grow into our new farm this coming year and inviting new team members on board this year. Housing and Social Life
Our farm is located in Mount Forest, Wellington County and we are on the most southern edge of Grey County. We are close to lots of natural beauty such as hiking trails, lakes, very close to the Saugeen River and bird watching.
We are 20 minutes from Durham which hosts a Art Gallery along with other lovely shops. We are a 6 minute drive to the nearest grocery store (or 17 minute bike ride). Within 30 minutes of us there are a number of small organic farms with lots of friendly staff so there is a fair share socializing to be had if you'd like that. We are 2 hours from Toronto, 1 hour from Guelph/Owen Sound.
If you do not drive, you can tag along with Cheyenne when she does her markets in Toronto on Thursdays and be picked up when she drives back from her Saturday market if you have friends and/or family in the city you'd like to visit reguarly. This is schedule and space permitting of course.
We offer on-farm housing at a below-market rate: $500/month
This is in a century old farmhouse that has two finished floors with both having their own full kitchens and bathrooms (upstairs has a full bath). Laundry is on the first floor. To access the second floor there is a seperate entrance.
Private rooms on the second floor of the shared farmhouse also include utilities, laundry, wifi and you will have free access to lots harvested goods.
There are two friendly sister cats that live in the farmhouse. We cannot accomdate any other pets.
Locally, Cheyenne sits on the Board of the Durham Art Gallery and is also on the Board of the Grey Zone Collective who hosts The Fabulous Festival of Fringe Film Fest in the summer. There will be lots of chances to meet new people, chat and connect. Alongside exisiting local chances to socialize, Sundance Commons and Cheyenne personally host gatherings at our Mount Forest farm with camping sleepovers. Our manager is also very sociable, local and fun to be around!
