REWILD Landscapes is a queer-owned ecological landscaping company on a mission to heal our relationship with the land.

We design and install vibrant, biodiverse spaces that honour native plants, wildlife, and the people who share space with them. Our work is about more than “making things pretty” — it’s about repairing ecosystems, building community, and bringing a little more wild into the world.

We’re hiring an Ecological Landscaping Installation Technician for the end of 2025 season, September until the snow flies. There will be opportunity to return in April for the 2026 season. This is a role for someone who loves being outside in all weather, thrives on physical work, and gets satisfaction from seeing a space transformed for the better — for both humans and the more-than-human world.

What you’ll be doing:

• Installing ecological landscapes: from pollinator gardens to edible food forests to waterfalls to pergolas to invasive species removal
• Moving soil, plants, stone, and mulch (and sometimes moving them again when the plants change their minds)
• Working outdoors in sun, rain, wind, and whatever Ottawa weather throws at us
• Being part of a small, collaborative crew where respect, kindness, and good playlists matter
• Contributing to work that actually matters for biodiversity and climate resilience
• We’re looking for someone who:
• Has landscaping installation experience (planting, hardscaping, grading, etc.)
• Can lift and carry up to 100 lbs safely
• Has their own transportation to and from job sites (we don’t have company vehicles)
• Owns steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves
• Can show up ready to work hard and work kindly — both are equally important here
• Shares our respect for the land, people, and all the creatures who call it home
