The Programs Coordinator will support the Research, Communications and Indigenous Programs teams and contribute to Clear Seas’ growing work in the marine sector. This role focuses on administrative and program coordination tasks to help program leads deliver effective and efficient initiatives. Delivering these programs requires experience working with Indigenous communities, strong communication skills, and solid project coordination capabilities.

Position Summary
The Programs Coordinator plays a key role in supporting all Clear Seas’ Programs by providing administrative, logistical, and coordination support to program leads. While this is primarily an administrative and coordination-focused role, it is grounded in culturally respectful engagement, mentorship, and learning.
The coordinator will support program leads to sustain and grow the three pillars of Clear Seas’ operations:
Your work will directly support all three areas and strengthen the bridge that connects them together. The role offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth, hands-on learning, and developing skills in community engagement and program management.

This position reports to the Research Manager and works closely with Clear Seas’ Indigenous Programs and Communications teams.

Preference will be given to candidates who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis), pursuant to Section 42 of the BC Human Rights Code. Applicants who wish to be considered under this preference are encouraged to self-identify.
Location
Clear Seas is a remote organization with employees across Canada. The Programs Coordinator will work remotely, with some travel required for team meetings, conferences, or community engagement. An office space is available in downtown Vancouver for those who wish to use it.
