Position: Property caretaker/seasonal campground manager
Remuneration: free accom. plus a percentage of the camping and house revenue

Host: Salmon River Guesthouse
Location: Sayward, North Vancouver Island BC

Opportunity to live and play on Northern Vancouver Island! 1930's farmhouse in the heart of the Sayward Valley. The home is situated on the river's edge surrounded by 32 acres of forest and meadow. There are camp sites being developed on the property. Birch, a golden retriever cross and Zelda, a Mexican pit/cross rescue, live at the farm too.  

This job would ideally be suited to two people as someone should be onsite at all times. 

The sucessful candidates would benefit from experience living in remote areas, however the large town of Campbell River is less than an hour away. Appreciation of large native wild animal species would also be an advantage as there are bears, elk and occasionally cougar in the valley. Extensive fishing on both Johnstone Straight and on the Salmon River, which flows past the lawn infront of the house, will be a highlight. We have various watercraft available so confidence on the water would be an asset. 

We are offering free accommodation plus a percentage of the camping and house revenue, in return for campsite maintenance and booking, property maintenance and care for the two dogs.
