Job Title: Landscape Horticulturalist

About Us

Redfeather Horticulture is a horticultural services company dedicated to creating beautiful, landscape and agricultural projects.

We are seeking a knowledgeable Horticulturalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong plant knowledge, experience in the field, a clean driving record and a desire to do cool stuff!

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake large planting projects. Candidate's role will involve ensuring the highest standards in installation. We initially anticipate this role to be working closely with Redfeather Senior staff
• Occasionally assist in nursery operations (sowing, repotting, grafting, pruning etc.)
• Occasionally assist in vegetation management/ecological restoration projects
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely
• Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of plants, soils, fertilizers, and pest management
• Ability to identify common plant diseases and pests
• Red Seal certified (or currently registering hours towards RSE)
• Experience using landscaping tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Certificate or diploma in Horticulture or related field
• Valid BC Pesticide Applicators Certificate
