Position: Climate Action Manager (Customer Success)
Organization: Carbonhound
Location: Hybrid role based in downtown Toronto — 4 days/week in office, WFH Fridays. Candidates should be local to the Toronto area.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end post-sale customer relationship, including onboarding, retention, reduction planning and expansion
  • Run proactive check-ins and success planning sessions with customers
  • Help customers navigate Carbonhound's services, including onboarding, data collection, emissions calculations, reduction initiatives, verification and more
  • Identify risks to retention and proactively implement success plans to improve engagement and outcomes
  • Advise customers on climate commitments, emissions measurement boundaries, carbon reduction strategies, and reporting requirements
  • Support customers in interpreting frameworks such as the GHG Protocol and translating them into clear, actionable guidance
  • Help customers prepare for sustainability reporting and submissions, including EcoVadis, CDP, CBAM and other disclosure frameworks
  • Continuously improve customers' climate literacy through education and hands-on support
  • Develop scalable onboarding materials, playbooks, and best practices to improve time-to-value
  • Act as the voice of the customer, synthesizing feedback into actionable insights for Product and Development
  • Work closely with Sales to ensure strong customer handoffs and identify expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with Climate, Product, and Operations teams to continuously improve the customer experience
  • Contribute to internal improvements in customer workflows, support processes, and success tracking

Note: This is a hybrid role in downtown Toronto that expects 4 days a week in office with WFH Fridays.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience delivering Greenhouse Gas Inventory reports, energy management strategies, target setting or decarbonisation roadmaps
  • Track record of managing relationships and stakeholders at companies from 250-1000+ employees
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting principles and frameworks like the GHG Protocol
  • Comfortable translating technical or regulatory concepts into simple, actionable guidance
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first, empathetic approach
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple customer relationships and priorities
  • Passionate about climate action and enabling organizations to decarbonize
  • Experience with decarbonization planning and scenario analysis
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Nice to Haves:

  • Curiosity about climate policy, regulation, and emerging standards
  • Experience working with auditors, verifiers, or certification bodies
  • Experience applying GHG protocol to Food and Beverage, Transportation and Agriculture businesses
  • Experience with product carbon footprints
  • French fluency
