POSITION OVERVIEW
Join Birds Canada in advancing bird conservation across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Mexico! The Analyst, International Grants and Compliance (“IGC”) ensures that international grant funds are managed in line with Government of Canada donor agreements, with a focus on Global Affairs Canada (GAC). Working closely with the Senior Manager and Director of IGC and the Birds Canada Finance team, this role monitors grant agreements, supports partner capacity building, assists with budget revisions, and upholds accountability across projects.
The Analyst focuses on oversight, compliance, and partner support - rather than primary accounting entry - helping partners review, monitor, and verify financial transactions and documentation. The role also contributes to improving financial processes and reporting, collaborating with teams in Canada and internationally. Success in this role requires autonomy, cross-cultural collaboration, and a commitment to collective results in complex, multi-partner environments. Professional fluency in English is required, and while Spanish is not required, it is considered a strong asset.
