La Via Campesina - North America (LVC-NA) is seeking an Administrative Staff person to provide support for the movement’s organizing work both regionally and internationally.
This remote position, located in either Canada or the United States, will be responsible for the administrative coordination of the member organizations that make up the North American region of LVC, handling behind the scenes logistics to add capacity to members’ ability to take on leadership and political roles to determine the functioning of the region. Founded in 1993, LVC advocates for food sovereignty, agroecology, and the rights of food producers, while standing firmly against corporate-driven agriculture and transnational companies. Our horizontal structure brings together multiple organizations committed to building solidarity, political education, and agroecology. We value transparent communication, shared decision-making, and creating spaces that foster growth and mutual support.
The current active member organizations of LVC-NA are National Farmers Union (Canada), Union Paysanne (Canada), National Family Farm Coalition (US), Farmworkers Association of Florida (US), and Family Farm Defenders (US).
