Position: Flower Farmer & Gardener

Starting compensation: $26–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Fleuris Orchard & Blooms and Durham Garden Design & Maintenance are seeking a Flower Farmer & Gardener to join our small team.

This year-round position is shared between a specialty cut flower farm and orchard and a residential garden maintenance business in Greater Victoria, BC. It offers the opportunity to spend your days working outdoors with plants, flowers, orchards, and beautiful gardens while developing practical horticultural skills across a wide variety of growing environments.

Responsibilities vary throughout the season and may include:

• Planting, transplanting, and propagation
• Harvesting and post-harvest handling of cut flowers
• Weeding, mulching, pruning, and trellising
• Irrigation monitoring and hand watering
• Orchard and garden maintenance
• Dahlia tuber processing and storage
• Seasonal cleanup and general farm tasks
• Residential garden maintenance and care

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys physically active outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Takes pride in doing things well
• Is reliable, observant, and detail-oriented
• Can work independently after training
• Has a genuine interest in plants, gardens, and the natural world
• Holds a valid driver's licence and has reliable transportation

Previous experience in horticulture, gardening, landscaping, flower farming, agriculture, or a related field is an asset, but we are open to candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

This is a permanent, year-round position with seasonal fluctuations in hours, generally ranging from approximately 30–40 hours per week.
