Position: Distribution Coordinator

Cinema Politica (CP) is a non-profit exhibition and distribution network for independent political film and video made by Canadian and international artists working mostly in the documentary genre.
Cinema Politica is seeking to hire a part-time Distribution Coordinator who will handle the theatrical and non-theatrical distribution of acquired titles, and provide support in the execution of distribution campaigns and activities. The Distribution Coordinator will work closely with the CP Executive Director and will be responsible for specific administrative tasks in addition to their primary duties.
We are interested in proactive applicants who have a specific interest in new, creative and alternative strategies to film distribution both in traditional and online environments, and who are motivated to experiment and grow with the position.
This position is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate of an applicable degree who is interested in gaining experience at a media arts organization with a global reach that is committed to creatively and critically-minded community empowerment and social justice.

This is a part-time position (up to 21 hours per week) with a possibility of becoming a full-time contract position. Remuneration for the position is $20 – $23 per hour or negotiable based on experience. The selected candidate will start in September 2026 at our Montreal (Quebec) office.
