Position: Community-Based Monitoring Student

Are you passionate about freshwater stewardship and community-based solutions? We’re seeking an enthusiastic, organized, team player to be our Community-Based Monitoring Student!
Based out of Winnipeg with travel throughout southern Manitoba, this full-time term position is 32 hours per week, $23.00/hour, from January 12th – May 1st 2026.
LWF has implemented a reduced workweek, with staff working 32 hours/week. Our reduced workweek comes with the expectation that employees will continue to maintain 100% of the productivity of a 40-hour workweek. As such, employees will continue to receive the pay they would receive for 40 hours of work. Accordingly, the hourly wage for this position has been increased from $18.40 to $23.00.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Community-Based Monitoring Student will support planning, sample preparation and fieldwork activities of the Lake Winnipeg Community-Based Monitoring Network. Tasks will include:
