About Us:

Advantage Engineering Ltd. (AEL) is a proudly Indigenous-owned and operated Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) firm. With a proven track record of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, we specialize in infrastructure, energy systems, and community development projects across Canada.

Our team combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of local contexts, ensuring every project is tailored to our clients' unique needs. AEL has extensive experience supporting Indigenous communities in achieving their development goals. From renewable energy projects to housing and infrastructure upgrades, our holistic approach ensures successful outcomes that benefit the present and future generations.

The Role:

We are seeking a Project Manager to support our growing portfolio of community-driven projects. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical project coordination with meaningful environmental and cultural impact.

You’ll help bring projects to life—whether it’s building a new cultural space, supporting renewable energy transitions, or coordinating environmental monitoring programs. If you’re looking for more than just a desk job and want to be part of projects that improve lives, protect the land, and shape future generations, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Support contract management, quality assurance, and client documentation.
  • Collect site data and measurements; contribute to environmental sampling and inspections.
  • Prepare proposals, technical reports, and meeting notes.
  • Provide support during construction (shop drawings, RFIs, inspections).
  • Coordinate with communities, consultants, and contractors.
  • Maintain accuracy and standardization across project files and templates.
  • Uphold AEL’s Quality Management System.
  • Work effectively with remote teams using digital platforms (Google Suite, Trello, shared drives, etc.).
  • Contribute ideas as we continue to build and refine our project management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in engineering, environmental sciences, construction, or related field.
  • Experience in environmental consulting, site inspections, or health & safety.
  • Strong technical writing (reports, proposals, specs).
  • Familiarity with federal/provincial regulations and permitting.
  • Valid driver’s license (work-related travel expenses covered).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Tech-savvy, adaptable, and excited to grow with a developing company.
  • Languages: English required; additional languages including French or Indigenous/First Nations languages are considered strong assets.

Indigenous Prioritization:

As an Indigenous-owned firm, AEL prioritizes hiring First Nations, Inuit, and Métis applicants. Candidates who identify as Indigenous are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are committed to equity and inclusion and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.
