Position: Environmental Program Coordinator

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference with climate & conservation programming in the Columbia Valley this summer?
The Environmental Program Coordinator is a summer position that will have the opportunity to both support and lead programs, under supervision from the Wildsight Invermere team which includes two Program Managers. The Environmental Program Coordinator will be responsible for one core project – the Bike Valet Program, as well as supporting other summer programming.
Duties

Bike Valet Program: Launched in 2025, Wildsight Invermere’s Bike Valet program offers accessible bike parking options at the extremely popular Invermere Farmers Market, empowering the community with low-carbon transportation alternatives when they visit the market. Results from 2025 showed strong community uptake and support for this program and, as such, Wildsight Invermere intends to continue the program into 2026 and beyond. With guidance and support from the Program Manager, the Environmental Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
2. Columbia Valley SHIFT: support the newly launched CV SHIFT climate action program, focusing on two core themes of waste & emissions reduction. Responsibilities may include:
