Position Overview
As a Green Choice Program Coordinator, on secondment to the Nova Scotia Department of Energy, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects in the clean technology and renewable energy portfolio, specifically in wind energy. You are collaborative and engaged in managing and facilitating programs to support Atlantic Canada’s transition to a low-carbon future. If you have a background in environmental science/studies, renewable energy, or public administration and enjoy building relationships and coordinating projects, we want to hear from you.

At Net Zero Atlantic we lead applied research and contribute to projects that enable the transition of Atlantic Canada’s energy system to a carbon-neutral future. As an independent non-profit organization, we achieve our mission and purpose through collaboration with academia, governments, private sector, Indigenous Peoples, and NGOs. Our work is to facilitate collaborative research and projects focusing on resolving key questions related to the energy transition.
The Nova Scotia Department of Energy (DOE) manages and promotes energy resources to achieve optimum economic, social, and environmental values from the energy sector. Their mission is to serve the social, environmental, and economic interests of Nova Scotians by ensuring all energy resources are developed and used in an efficient and sustainable manner. What we offer
About the Opportunity:
In this role, you will be seconded from Net Zero Atlantic to the DOE Clean Electricity Division in the Green Choice Program. The Green Choice Program is a green tariff program for large commercial and institutional energy customers to build renewable energy projects to meet their energy consumption needs.
In this full-time, contract term ending March 31, 2027, you will report to the Senior Analyst, Green Choice Program in the DOE Clean Electricity division and be responsible for:
