Position: Outreach and Support Coordinator
Program: Energy and Water Reporting and Benchmarking (EWRB)
Organization: Windfall Ecology Centre
Location: Aurora, Ontario | Hybrid (3 days in office per week)

Position type: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Reports to: Manager, Sustainable Business Programs
Compensation: $47,000-$52,000 Annually

As EWRB Outreach and Support Coordinator, you will help building owners navigate reporting requirements, strengthen participation, and support a program that advances transparency, accountability, and lower emissions across Ontario. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful climate action while building experience in stakeholder support, communication, and program co ordination within a collaborative, mission-driven team.

What you’ll do

1. Outreach and engagement

  • Support outreach to building owners, property managers, and other stakeholders required to report under EWRB.
  • Communicate with participants by email, phone, and online meetings in a clear, professional, approachable manner.
  • Build positive relationships that strengthen awareness, trust, and participation.
  • Contribute to public education efforts related to building energy performance and benchmarking. Building owner support and compliance assistance
  • Provide front-line support to participants navigating the EWRB reporting process.
  • Help building owners and managers complete basic reporting steps using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
  • Respond to questions and escalate more complex issues to program staff as needed.
  • Identify common questions and recurring challenges to strengthen participant support.

2. Program co-ordination and administration

  • Track outreach activity and participant interactions in a CRM system.
  • Monitor reporting progress and follow up on incomplete or missing submissions.
  • Support internal documentation and reporting on outreach activity, participation, and emerging trends.

What you’ll bring

  • Post-secondary education in environmental studies, sustainability, urban planning, energy management, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in program delivery, stakeholder engagement, or client support; experience in building, energy, or sustainability programs is an asset.
  • Familiarity with building energy concepts and benchmarking tools such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and data-tracking tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Eligibility requirement

This position may be funded in part by the Government of Canada through ECO Canada and is open to applicants aged 15–30 who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or hold refugee status in Canada.
