Position: Boreal Educator
Organization: Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory

Housing: Staff rental accommodation may be available at the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation at a cost of $295/month through Alberta Parks.
We are looking for a creative educator who can develop and deliver fun, interactive and hands-on programming about the boreal forest, birds and forestry for audiences of all ages.

This full-time position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of well-established education programs for the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society and the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory including curriculum-based school fieldtrips and classroom presentations for students from Pre-K to Post Secondary. This educator will also provide support for the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation education and community outreach programs designed for a wide variety of visitors including families, students, seniors and tourists. This educator position will be based at the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation right in the middle of Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park. Just 15 minutes north of the town of Slave Lake (or 3 hours north of Edmonton), this eco-friendly centre is surrounded by beautiful boreal forest with easy access to nature trails and white sand beaches.
