Position: Northern Outreach Coordinator
Organization: Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario
Location: Must be currently living in northern Ontario.
The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) is seeking an outgoing, collaborative and community-oriented coordinator with knowledge of the agriculture sector in northern Ontario, as well as Indigenous food systems, to join the staff team as Northern Outreach Coordinator. Indigenous applicants with experience living in a First Nation Community are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.
Reporting to EFAO’s Northern Outreach, New Farmer Programs and Operations Director and working closely with the Indigenous Outreach and Engagement Advisor, the Northern Outreach Coordinator will assist with promoting EFAO’s programs and services for farmers and Indigenous growers, seeking out new opportunities for partnership and collaboration with farmers, growers, organizations and First Nations communities in the north and assisting staff with coordinating educational events in northern Ontario.
EFAO is an educational and membership organization that supports farmers, growers and land stewards to build resilient ecological farms and grow a strong knowledge sharing community through farmer-led education, research and community building. Position Details:
Position: Northern Outreach Coordinator
Location: Remote from home office, based in Northern Ontario.
Hours of Work: 21 hours/week
Start date: September 1st - 15th, 2025
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
Salary: $30,000 - $33,000/year
