Summer employment opportunities with Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador (CCNL), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing youth with education, training and employment in environmental and cultural conservation.

CCNL enthusiastically offers employment each summer through our Green Team Program which has been supporting local conservation priorities across Newfoundland and Labrador for over 30 years. This is a unique job opportunity that aims to provide professional skills and leadership development as well as meaningful employment experience in a passionate and supportive team setting. Not only will individuals learn to communicate effectively and closely with Community Stakeholders and teammates, they will also develop experience in event planning and public speaking through Environmental Awareness Events that they will plan and host in the community throughout the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for people who are entering employment for the first time, those who are keenly interested in developing their employable skill set, or experienced youth who are looking to enter the fields of environmental or cultural conservation.

We’re also hiring for our Internship Program, which offers opportunities for young professionals to build skills, relationships, and experience within the fields of environmental and cultural conservation. Internships allow for meaningful, paid employment opportunities for recent graduates and young people, while supporting important cultural and environmental initiatives in communities throughout the province.

We do aim to encourage and involve all youth, from all walks of life in our programming! We would like to pay special attention to recruit people who may have barriers or perceived barriers to employment. We welcome all avenues in connecting with people of all backgrounds; youth at risk, youth of all cultures, youth that need assistance or support etc.
