Position: Development and Communications Associate
Organization: Pollinator Partnership Canada
Location: anywhere in Canada

Pollinator Partnership Canada (P2C) is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate associate to join our team and promote P2C’s programs to audiences across Canada.

In this role, the Development and Communications Associate will work with our team to enact marketing plans that increase our brand identity, support membership, and engage the public and donors. The successful candidate should be a detail-oriented professional with well-developed organization and time-management skills, be a creative thinker, have a talent for verbal and visual communication, and be committed to the mission and values of P2C. A stand-out candidate would have the ability to create engaging content and communicate with partners in French and English. This staff will report directly to the Executive Director.

Principal Responsibilities:

50% Development and Engagement

  • Support the P2C team in maintaining donor, partner, and member relationships, including the coordination of Bee City Canada member renewals.
  • Support the organization’s development and fundraising plans, including sponsorship plans, outreach materials, and engagement campaigns.
  • Support fundraising efforts, including the annual appeal, through newsletters, solicitations, and media campaigns.

50% Communications and Marketing

  • Uphold branding and marketing themes to project a cohesive identify for the organization.
  • Work with the P2C team to develop and schedule the annual outreach program, keeping alignment with public trends and hot topics.
  • Run social platforms, and create content and messaging for digital, print, and social media campaigns.
  • Work with the P2C team to create organizational and program-specific newsletters and mailings.
  • Support updates and additions to the P2C website.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and in teams using a digitally connected network model.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop engaging content for a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong digital and creative skills, including workplace applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and design applications such as Adobe design suite, InDesign, Canva, Craft, etc.
  • Certificate or degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, nonprofit management, business administration, science communication, journalism, social science, or other relevant fields.
  • P2C works to support pollinators across Canada and aims to provide engagement opportunities to Anglophone and Francophone audiences. French language skills are an asset to our activities.
  • Location: Remote, Canada wide. P2C has staff across Canada, including in Toronto, ON, Guelph, ON, Peterborough, ON, Victoria, BC, and Yellowknife, NT. Candidates located in cities where we have staff, as well as those that would expand our geographic reach are considered equally.

Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits: Full-time, salaried, scheduled to work ~35 hours/week. Salary of $42,000 and benefits including health plan, retirement plan, employee wellness programming, and a flexible work environment with people that love pollinators.

Anticipated Start Date: Early 2026
