Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and outgoing Brand Ambassador to represent Heartwood Sparkle in retail environments through in-store demos and product sampling. Working directly with the public, you'll bring our products to life and introduce customers to the
story, values, and flavours behind Heartwood. This is a part-time role (10–15 hours per week), with flexible scheduling based on store availability and event timing.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Heartwood Sparkle in a positive and engaging manner at scheduled in-store sampling events.
• Book demos with retailers and identify key stores to drive engagement. This is a flexible aspect of the role, given that you can make your own schedule based on your availability and convenience
• Set up and take down demo displays, including transporting the company banner and sample product to each location.
• Educate customers on the Heartwood brand, farm values, and Sparkle product line.
• Encourage trial and purchase by offering samples and engaging product storytelling.
• Track and report on demo performance, including number of samples served and customer feedback.
• Maintain professionalism and cleanliness at all demo stations.
• Communicate regularly with Kieran Klassen to coordinate schedules, inventory, and logistics.

Requirements

• Passion for local food, sustainability, and artisan beverages.
• Excellent communication and people skills; comfort speaking with the public.
• Ability to lift and transport demo materials to and from retail stores. All demo materials will be provided by Heartwood Farm & Cidery. They include:
  • Small table (not needed in some stores)
  • Table cloth
  • Pull-up banner (not permitted in some stores)
  • Wooden crates for aesthetics
  • Chilled sample product in a cooler (8 - 10 cans is typical)
  • Paper sample cups
  • Business cards, postcards, coasters to give out
  • See attached photo for a typical setup
• Ability to store the demo materials between engagements (up to 3-4 cases of product at a time)
• Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Availability for 10–15 hours per week, primarily during peak shopping hours (evenings and weekends).
• Prior experience in sales, customer service, or demo/brand ambassador roles is an asset.

Compensation

• $25/hour
• Mileage reimbursement available for travel between demo sites (details to be discussed)
