What You’ll Do

As a Senior Biologist, you’ll be at the forefront of ecological research and consulting, leading projects that make a difference. You’ll:

  • Lead and manage diverse projects focused on wildlife, vegetation, wetlands, and terrestrial ecosystems.
  • Coordinate field teams and logistics for exciting fieldwork across BC, Alberta, and beyond.
  • Develop proposals, build client relationships, and contribute to business growth.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance team.
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and ensure projects meet provincial and federal standards.
  • Travel for fieldwork, with trips lasting up to 10–12 days at a time.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s not just technically skilled—but also strategic, adaptable, and passionate about ecological science.

  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field + 5 years of experience (or equivalent).
  • Deep knowledge of western and northern Canadian ecosystems (and taxa).
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • RPBio (BC) or PBiol (AB) designation (or eligibility).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in consulting and working in rugged field conditions is a plus.
