Position: Teaching Mechanic
Type: age 30 & under / summer

The organization:

Bikechain is a non-profit, Do-It-Yourself bicycle repair centre serving University of Toronto and the general public.
We operate an educational repair space with affordable mechanic support, offer a free bicycle borrowing program for U of T students, host bicycle related events and workshops, lead dedicated programming prioritizing cyclists on the margins, and offer mobility device repair assistance. Bikechain’s mission is to promote the use of bicycles as sustainable transportation, and to provide affordable cycling and bike repair education to the community.
Who is eligible?
This position is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To apply for this job, you must:

Bikechain seeks to transform the culture of cycling, and prioritizes applicants who self-identify as being part of underrepresented groups, or who face barriers in cycling and employment.
