What is Sierra Youth??

Sierra Youth is run by youth for youth, serving as the youth arm of Sierra Club Canada Foundation.

Our mission is to empower young people to become active community leaders who contribute to making Canada a better society. We are the youth branch of the Sierra Club Canada Foundation, with a mission to empower young people (individuals under 30) to become leaders in our communities!

Through grassroots action and an anti-oppression approach, Sierra Youth aims to address globalization, consumption, and climate change while acting as a resource for youth concerned about environmental and social justice issues.

How can you join?

Everyone under 30 is welcome! (If you are over 30, we still love you, but please join our other excellent provincial chapters.) We aim to foster a community of motivated, passionate, and collaborative young individuals.

There is a place for everyone at Sierra Youth, whether you're interested in environmental education, fundraising, policy, activism, creativity, or organizing. We would love to have you!

We are also looking for individuals to fill these volunteer roles:

• Policy analyst
• Grant Writer
• Communication coordinator
• Graphic Designer
• Environmental education coordinator
• Marketing strategist
• Book-keeper
• Workshop/club hosts
