VOLUNTEER POSITION

Needed: Webmaster
Organization: Toronto Field Naturalists
Location: Work is done from home. Candidates should live in Toronto/GTA.

The Toronto Field Naturalists connects people with nature in the Toronto area, helping them to understand, enjoy, and protect Toronto’s green spaces and the species that inhabit them.

We are an all-volunteer organization celebrating our 100th anniversary. Our wonderful Webmaster is retiring so we are looking for a nature-lover with technical expertise.

The Webmaster updates and monitors the TFN website to assure it stays online, accurate, and provides a rich experience for users.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the website, including debugging issues, and ensuring it is backed up.
• Ensuring TFN members can access the information they require.
• Updating the website as needed, including new features, content, navigation, images, artwork, and videos as needed.
• Staying up to date on the latest technologies to make sure the site stays mobile and multi-platform friendly.

Requirements:

• Must have practical experience working with WordPress and WooCommerce.
• Experience with WooCommerce Subscriptions, Ultimate Member, and/or AutomateWoo would be given preference.
• Experience with the "WP All Export" plugin and/or the WP Engine hosting platform would be an asset.
