Indigenous communities are facing urgent threats on the front lines of wildfires. If you’re looking for a way to help, here are organizations that Indspire suggests you support:

• True North Aid – Provides practical humanitarian support to wildfire evacuees from northern and remote Indigenous communities.
• First Nations’ Emergency Services Society of BC – Helps First Nations in British Columbia prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
• Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity – Supports emergency response and recovery efforts for Namaygoosisagagun First Nation, which was devastated by the fires.
• Canadian Wildfire Fund (Red Cross) – Provides emergency shelter, food, and evacuation support.
• Northern Reach Rescue Network – Provides food, veterinary care, temporary fostering and transportation for animals displaced by wildfires.
