Volunteer + Participant Call-Out: Plastic Upcycling Workshops in Burlington

Who We Are

Reimagining Plastic is a youth-led community project developed as part of the Turning the Tides initiative. Our mission is to reduce plastic waste through creative reuse, empowering individuals and communities to transform everyday plastic into something new and meaningful. We are hosting four workshops at Burlington Centre, Ontario, to teach the community how to "upcycle" plastic waste like plastic bottles, lids, and other materials. The workshops are FREE to attend and will be hosted in July and August 2025.

Plastic doesn’t have to be the end of the story. Let’s reimagine it together.

We’re Looking For:

• Volunteers – Support set-up, help guide participants, and contribute to a creative, welcoming space.
• Participants – Join us for hands-on, sustainability-focused workshops that are fun, educational, and community-driven.

Volunteers can also be participants! Volunteer hours and certificate provided!

Workshop Dates

• Sunday, July 20
• Saturday, July 26
• Saturday, August 2
• Sunday, August 24

Workshops take place at Burlington Centre (777 Guelph Line) in the hub. Times will be shared upon registration, but the first workshop (July 20) is from 1pm - 3pm.
