Are you passionate about sustainability, food security, and making a real difference in your community?

Zero Food Waste Ottawa (ZFW) is looking for motivated and community-driven volunteers to join our Executive Team.

We are a registered charity dedicated to rescuing surplus food and redirecting it to those who need it most, to help reduce both food insecurity and environmental waste. By joining our team, you’ll help lead meaningful projects that tackle food waste and hunger while gaining valuable leadership experience.

Current open positions:

• VP of Communications: Lead social media, outreach campaigns, and digital presence.
• VP of Outreach: Build relationships with community partners, schools, and donors.
• VP of Finance: Manage budgets, donations, and ensure financial transparency.
• VP of Events: Plan and execute events that raise awareness and engage the community.
• VP of Volunteer Coordination: Support our team of volunteer drivers (Food Rescuers) and help grow our volunteer base.

What you’ll gain:

Time commitment:

Approx. 3–5 hours per week (flexible, mostly remote with occasional in-person events).
