About GoodWork

GoodWork is a much-loved hub for action and involvement in climate, nature, and the environment. For 25 years, our mission has been to inspire and connect people with opportunities to bring about positive change.

In that time, thousands of individuals have discovered their purpose, advanced their careers, and found meaningful work. Countless projects and organizations have grown and flourished through the connections and community that GoodWork helps cultivate. 

Next Steps...

GoodWork's founder, Peter Blanchard, has been the driving force behind GoodWork since its inception. Now, he's preparing to step aside — to make room for fresh energy and ideas. With that in mind, we’re exploring partnerships, leadership succession, or other forms of transition that will allow GoodWork not just to continue, but to thrive and expand its impact.

We’re open to a wide range of possibilities, including:

1. Merging with an environmental, climate, or sustainability organization
2. Operating as a social enterprise under the umbrella of another organization
3. Continuing as an independent entity, with new leadership (e.g. hiring an Operations Manager or Editor/Moderator)
4. Acquisition or investment by an organization or individual with a deep commitment to sustainability
5. Or another creative approach we haven’t yet considered.

GoodWork is financially self-sustaining, resilient through economic ups and downs, and does not rely on grants or external funding. What it does need now is renewed, inspired leadership to guide it into the future.
