Volunteer Position

Position: Municipal Climate Action Research Intern 
Organization: Clean Air Partnership
Location: Toronto Remote/Hybrid. Anywhere in Ontario.

• Commitment: Part Time, 8 hours/ week.
• Compensation: Honorarium upon 3-5 months would be made available
• Duration: 5 Months (November 2025 – March 2026)

About the role:

Clean Air Partnership is seeking a tech-savvy, creative thinker to support tracking climate change-related committee and council discussions and decisions occurring across 40+ Ontario municipalities. This work will consist of tracking council meeting climate agenda item discussions and decisions via municipal council calendars and meeting proceedings. The results from this effort will be fed into climate accountability tools such as the Climate Policy Database and Climate Action Atlas. The hope for this is that the successful candidate will also explore possible options to automate the review of council and committee agendas to identify climate related topics over the longer term.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong interest in climate policy
• Familiarity with AI automation tools
• Written communication and research skills
• Organized and able to work independently
• Creative problem-solver
• Has access to a computer and reliable internet
